Muraoka's A Greek-English Lexicon of the Septuagint is now complete. Brenton (1851) LXX: Septuagint m. Using a Greek-English Dictionary and “Moving Bones”. Louw-Nida, 1:739 ; also the older lexicons by Thayer, 345, and Craemer, 354; also TDNT 3:363–372; as well as the sixth German edition of Walter Bauer, Griechisch-deutsches Wšrterbuch (Berlin and New York: de Gruyter, 1988) 874-875; and most recently A Greek-English Lexicon of the Septuagint (ed. Use The Vocabulary of the Greek Testament by Moulton, Milligan for Egyptian papyri. It's only $30 on Amazon, and the definitions are based on the $80 Lust & Eynikel Greek-English Lexicon of the Septuagint. In 1992 Johan Lust, Erik Eynikel, and Katrin Hauspie published the first of two volumes of their A Greek-English Lexicon of the Septuagint (Stuttgart: Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft); the second tome appeared in 1996. 1 LEH LXX Lexicon: A Greek-English Lexicon of the Septuagint, Revised Edition; Advanced RESOURCE - Lexham LXX Interlinear: The Greek-English Interlinear Septuagint. All the other standard Greek-English lexicons for the NT gave meanings such as “leader, ruler, person in authority” and made no mention of the meaning “source. Green (1986) LS: A Greek-English Lexicon (Liddell & Scott) LXE: Septuagint with Apocrypha by Sir L.C.L. My primary Greek lexicon is BDAG, which is an excellent resource, but I do like to consult others. The earlier most recent version was based chiefly on the Pentateuch and the Twelve Prophets.
